Lorraine Marie Goodman

November 24, 1925 - January 28, 2025

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lorraine Marie Goodman. Lorraine passed away at the age of 99 years old with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Lorne Goodman for 75 wonderful years. Loving mother of Wayne (Sal), Bob (Alana) and Peter (Wilma). Proud grandmother of Dennis, Natalie (Evan), Paul, Jamie (Peter), Miranda (Tom), Megan, Brent (Victoria). Great Grandmother of Blake, Kylee, Lilah, Corbin, Bree, Ben, Jonathan, Harper and Mackenzie. Great Great Grandmother of Tatum and Noah. Lorraine was the daughter of predeceased Douglas and Gertrude McLaughlin. She was predeceased by her brothers Vern, Ted, Dean, Glenn and Phill. Sisters Madge Matheson and Mavis Quail.

Lorraine was born into a large and loving family in Oshawa. She was known for her thoughtfulness kindness infectious smile and amazing sense of humor, a joy for life and loved her family unconditionally. Lorraine found great joy in her gardens. She and Lorne loved traveling, curling, square dancing, line dancing, dressing up and entertaining. They enjoyed their winters in Orlando Florida with friends. Lorne and Lorraine were very involved in their Church Columbus United.

Her Strength and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 a.m.. Located at 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario - L1J 2L4. Followed by a service in the chapel at 1:30 with a reception down in the lower level of the funeral home after the service.
