Marg would have been touched by the beautiful service at St George's Church. It was a loving tribute to a wonderful person. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and certainly missed her when "she moved on and up."

I'm very sorry for your loss.  Marg was was a wonderful lady.  She believed in me, and gave me my start in teaching at Coronation Public School in 2006. I will be forever thankful for that and all I learned. 

I've made a memorial donation in her name to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

My condolences to Jennifer, Ashleigh and Lindsay.  I was so saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. What a wonderful person she was. I will always remember her great sense of humour and the good times we had "back in the day" at Sir John A. Macdonald. Take comfort in the fact that your Mother was well-loved.

I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the service tomorrow evening.  I had lunch a couple of times with Marg and Joan Hinrichs last year.  We had a great visit and I was very sorry to learn of how her cancer had progressed.  We had such fun when we taught together at Donview Heights.  My sympathies to her family.  She will definitely be missed.

To Marg's daughters and their families my deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother. I hope the many happy times you shared together will be a source of comfort at this sad time.

I had the amazing opportunity of working with Marg for three years at the beginning of my teaching career. As a new teacher, there is no one I could imagine being a better mentor or inspiration than Marg. She was always welcoming and brought so much warmth to any situation. Her guidance helped me become a better teacher and I am forever grateful. I will treasure my moments with her - she was a special lady.

I send my sympathy to the Crowder family, along with my gratitude.  Thank you for sharing Margaret with us - her students - if there is any one person who I owe more of my life and my success to I have yet to meet them.  Mrs Crowder was my friend, my colleague, and my teacher and I will never forget her passion and consideration for all her students and faculty.

I had the pleasure of working with Marg at elementary summer school.  She was always patient and helpful and made me laugh pretty much every time I spoke with her !

Marg's journey in this world may have come to a close, however the light of her amazing presence will surely be carried on through her daughters, Jenny, Ashleigh and Lyndsay and all who were blessed to have known and loved her.

I have very fond memories of working with Marg at Highbush PS.  The door to her office was always open.  She would listen when we were having trouble with a student and she always offered to lend a hand.  She seemed to have all the answers at her fingertips.  But she wasn't all "schoolwork" - she sure knew how to make us laugh!  I miss her.

I would like to express my sincere condolances to Marg's daughters and grandchildren.  I was her dental hygienist at Dr. McIntyre's office and saw her just in the fall, she was also my daughters principal a Kedron puplic School.
My deepest sympathy goes out to everyone as Marg was to wonderful a Lady to leave this earth so soon.  I am happy to know that she was able to take her family on a holiday as when I saw her last this was her dearest wish.  May you all hold on to your dearest memories.  Susanne Harney

I want to express my deepest sympathy to Lindsay, Jennifer and Ashleigh and all the extended "Marg family". I have such amazing memories of Marg...of her humour, her compassion, her dedication to being the very best she could be. I have a memory to share about Marg that has stayed with me to this day, even though we lost touch on and off through the years...just due to "life". I gave birth to a baby with Down Syndrome at age 28 in 1983. Marg was the first friend to visit and offered so much support and unconditional love..that I will never forget. My son is 27 now...I spoke with Marg over the Christmas holidays and she was so happy that my son is doing well. Please know that we all have amazing memories of this wonderful lady...we will miss you Marg.

To the Crowder family,

I worked with Marg, Ashleigh, and Jennifer at the elementary summer school program about 10 years ago.  It was my first 'real' teaching job, and I was a bit nervous and overwhelmed.  I remember Mrs Crowder being so kind, helpful, and patient with myself and the other tutors.  Her passion towards education was admirable and apparent.
I consider myself very fortunate to have had the opportunity to know and work with such an amazing person.

The Spencer/Hull family sends its most heartfelt condolences. We did not know Marg well, but knew her to be a kind, loving and remarkable person. The evidence is clear when you meet her lovely daughters and grandchildren. We thank Marg and her family for showing us the meaning of courage.

A very sad time for everyone that had the wonderful privilege of knowing Marg.  Her contagious laugh and keen sense of humour will never be forgotten.  Rest in peace my friend.

I knew and very much respected Marg as a fellow principal and educator in the Durham Board. Much earlier in time, our families had travelled a similar path as Whitby Swim team members and "parents."
Marg was an inspiration and very much a role model for others in that she encouraged and supported the successes of other swimmers as much as she did for her own daughters and she was equally caring and genuinely concerned for students, parents and colleagues.
We are so very sorry for your loss.

We were so saddened to hear of your Mom's passing - an exceptional women whose journey ended far too soon.  Marg was so many wonderful things to so many people, always kind, always caring with an infectious smile that lit up the room.  Doug and I will always think of your Mom as the angel that came into our lives and inspired a shy young girl to take risks, believe in herself and ultimately achieve her dreams.  The seven special years that Stephanie and Marg "learned" together not only provided the foundation for Stephanie realizing her dreams of becoming an elementary school teacher but also forged a friendship that will never be forgotten.  Our thoughts are with you and hope the pain of the days ahead are eased by the memories of a life so well lived.

As evinced by the entries here, Marg touched many lives and made a mark wherever she went.  We are honored to have known her and called her our friend. Marg was my last principal as I retired ten years ago from Kedron P.S.  What a thoughtful, caring, and dedicated person she was!!  My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Crowder family. These past few months have been exceedingly difficult for all. I am glad that I did get to know her as a neighbour and as a friend. You will be missed. Shelly and I are truley sorry for the loss, but as others have indicated, we can take comfort in knowing that she is in a better place. My memories will be ever present.

I will always miss Marg's wonderful sense of humour and her thoughtfulness toward others. Everyone who met Marg fell in love with her. I have many memories of activities that Marg and I did together!! Many of these memories are hilarious as they were when Marg and I were trying to find "Mr. Right". Marg always made me laugh!! She was always so kind to me and to my daughter, Zoe!! Please know Lindsay, Aaron, Ashleigh, James, Jen and Sheldon that you and your children are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this extremely difficult time. Sue, Christine and Brian you are also in my thoughts! I am heading down to Florida as I mentioned last week so I unfortunately will not be there. I will miss Marg so so very much!!

My family and I are sending our love and condolences to the Crowder family. Marg was a ray of sunshine that would brighten a room instantly. Though her time was limited in Las Vegas, her presence was forever felt by those she came in contact. Her vivaciousness and humor were well received and made those around her laugh with thoughtfulness. Her daughters are a true reflection of the woman she was and they will continue to live out her liveliness and love for years to come. We are sorry for your deeply felt loss and can only be comforted by her peacefulness in a better place. We love you all and will miss Marg dearly.
