Passed away peacefully on Friday, September 17th, 2010 at Fairview Lodge, Whitby at the age of 96. Predeceased by her husband Orville, son Ross, and by her sister Wilma Major (William). Marian is survived by her niece Marilyn and her husband Wayne Elson. She also leaves behind great nephews Ross Elson (Melanie), and Robert Elson (Angela), and great-great nephews and great-great nieces Alexander, William, McKenzie and Grace. Those who knew Marian will remember her for her love of music and playing cards, but mostly for her care and thoughtfulness for others. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa (905-721-1234) for visitation on Monday, September 20th from 12:00 P.M. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Interment at Mount Lawn Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for the Alzheimer Society or the charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the compassionate staff at Fairview Lodge as well as to Dr. Libby for all of their care.
