I heard of Connor's passing on Amber's blog, and just wanted to express my deepest sympathies to you both.  We lost our son, Kaden, to Neuroblastoma this summer.  Please feel free to get in touch if you need to talk.

There are no words to express the overwhelming loss of Connor. Today's funeral was a beautiful tribute which celebrated the life of a little boy who touched so many in his short life. His love and strength surely came from his mommy and daddy, and I pray it is that same love and strength which will guide you in the years to come.

I didn't know Conner but I read of his passing last nite in the paper. I cannot get his little face out of my mind. I truly believe that each day will bring you and your families more peace. We never know why these things happen...my baby boy was born in June 2009 and at 5 weeks old we discovered he was blind in both eyes. It's been a rough road but somehow I believe it's made me a stronger and happier person. I wish so much for you and your husband to support and love eachother. Although I don't know your son personally, I have followed your family's trials and tribulations on faceboook, after first seeing the picture you submitted of him to Mothering Magazine.  I was so absolutely moved to see the photo of him tending to his baby doll, while he sat fighting cancer in his hospital bed.  In just that one picture, I could see that he was so full of love and light - more than a lifetimes worth - and while I mourn for your family's loss, I also celebrate that he is no longer in pain, and how he has obviously blessed so many people.  I know in my own life he has been a constant reminder to hold my little ones even closer every day.  Blessings to your family and to Connor especially on his new adventures.

But I can't find any words for when a parent loses a child. There is no word because it was never meant to be and the loss can't be described.  There are things in life that are hard to comprehend or truly understand.  The loss of our "Gentle Warrior" is one of them. To Elena and Patrick, my daughter passed away when she was just 6 months older than Conner, will be waiting for him with open arms.I truly believe she will take him under her wing and he will join the other children and continue on in a pain free existence.Everyone will tell you it gets easier with time, well it does on a day to day basis, but for me even after 17 years, certain days of the year never get easier. But he will always be with you.

Today we got this heartbreaking message we wish we never have gotten! We met you at the retreat in September 2 months after our son`s funeral. At that point all we could think and wish for was that there would be no more losses and pain...but this world goes in some mysterious way that is hard for our mind to understand and accept,all we say in our hearts:"It shouldn`t be this way...it is all wrong".
 Connor`s soul is free now, and , most importantly, he is not in pain which is a priority for any parent. Our little angels are the first ones to cross the line, and are waiting for us on the other side. We are still here missing them and loving them...the love does go on, and it is the proof of their existance. How can you love somebody who does not exist???

I am so deeply sorry for the loss of such an incredible little boy!  Although I had never met Connor, I followed his brave journey every step of the way.  I cannot imagine the pain and heartache you must be feeling, but please know that the impression his story made on my life as well as so many others, is beyond explanation!!!!!  Unfortunatley, we can never explain the 'why's' in life but we must Always Trust in the Lord....he will help us through anything!  I see Connor as a free soul.....no pain, no fear, no cares and no more ouchies....only love all around him....Faith will get us all through these terrible times....and believe that one day, you and Connor will be together again!  RIP sweet little Connor.  You are so very much loved!!!!!!  Joyce Fitt

Dearest Elena, Patrick, and families,

My heart is aching for you, and I wish I could take that pain away but I can't.  I can only be comforted knowing that you know that Connor is resting in a beautiful, Light-filled place, filled with love and peace. 

With the eyes, one can see little, but with the heart cords, we are joined and can see in an instant. During his short time on classroom Earth, you never left Connor's side. He knows you are there still. Connor is in your heart forever and always. 

Connor is also in my heart, and the hearts of so, so many people. It is amazing how many people he touched and how much he accomplished just by being Connor. You were wonderful parents and will always be Connor's much-loved parents.
