Peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, June 25th, 2015, Mollie Judith Carswell (nee Barton), in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Peter, in their 60th year of marriage. Dear mother of Kent (Leslie) of Midland, Bart (Jessica) of Calgary and Mara (Norman Burton) of Port McNicoll. Loving grandmother of Ryan and Katie, and step-grandmother of Kyle. Dear sister of Paul Barton of Liberty, Maine and Larry Barton of Birmingham, Michigan. Mollie graduated from O’Neill Collegiate followed by the Ontario College of Art in 1957. Mollie was a founding member of the Robert McLaughlin Gallery. Her passion was antiques, gardening and socializing at the cottage on Gloucester Pool. The family would like to thank the nurses in Critical Care at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, June 29th from 7 – 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 30th at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
