Passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on April 30th, 2016 at the age of 86 after enjoying a wonderful evening playing cards with his friends. Loving and adored husband of Rita for 44 years. Loving dad of Leonard, late Louise (Darren), Murray Jr. (Dianne), late Wayne and Allison (late Scott). Cherished Grampa of Kevin (Kayla), Derek (Michelle), Sarah, Jodi (Andrew), Brad (Nicole), Amanda and Faye. Beloved Papa of Jesse and Jordan. Great-grandfather of Kyle, Kristine, Kayden, Shelby, Everly and James. Murray leaves behind his sister Gay as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his brothers Tommy and Lay and by his sister Evelyn. He was so loved by so many, being a mentor, father figure and inspiration to all who knew him. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Saturday, May 7th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
