I was so shocked to hear of Rick's passing on Friday. Rick was not only my brother-in-law, he was my friend. He didn't just drop out of my life after Dan passed away. He came for a visit when he was out west. We always had such good visits, lots of laughing and joking around. I will always and forever treasure his memory. Thank you to John and Lynda and his special friend for looking after him. My condolences to my nephews and their families.
Rest In Peace

Uncle Rick was a special person who held a special place in my heart. I enjoyed our jokes and our shared interest in genealogy. Although his time here on earth was too short, I am thankful for the special memories of fun times with family. Just like a good dad, he cared for me, and I knew I was loved. After my dad passed, when he came out West he made sure to visit my mom and she enjoyed his company. My life is more valuable because I had him in it. I cherish the time I had with him and he will be forever be missed and loved. May he rest in eternal peace. My sincerest condolences to his sons (my cousins), Uncle John and Aunt Lynda and his Friend Lee who took care of him.
Love the Metz Family (Jenny, Josh, Hunter and Payton)
