Rita Isabella Marin

Returned to Our Lord, peacefully, with family by her side, at Ajax-Pickering Health Centre, Ajax, Ontario, on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011, two days before her 91st birthday. She is now reunited with the love of her life, Julio (Frank), husband of 60 years. She will be sadly missed by her children Julie (Ken), Diane (Michel), Ralph (Colleen), Lyn (Dan), Liz (Charlie), and Leslie (David),and her grandchildren, Christine, Stephen, Jessica, Jeremy, Amanda, Domenic, Amelia and Dallas, and her great-grandchildren Dylan, Tyler, Nicholas and Everett. Rita was the backbone of her family, famous for her West Indian cooking. She was a tiny woman, but huge in stature when it came to her charm, wit, generosity, forgiveness and most of all, her unconditional and pure LOVE!! She was ‘Mom’ to many, and thus created a large extended family. Be at peace, Mom, forever dancing in Dad’s arms, and in the loving embrace of our Lord, God. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St., West, Oshawa, Ontario, (905-721-1234) on Friday, January 6TH, 2012 from 2-4 pm, and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Parish (796 Eyer Drive, Pickering, Ont.), on Saturday, January 7th, 2012 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated.
