Robert McGrath

After a courageous battle with cancer Bob passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on September 28th, 2010, at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband of Marie for 43 years. Loving father of Theresa (Shane) and Steve (Maureen). Adored Grampa of Michael and Joshua. Bob will be missed by siblings Lorraine, Father Terry, Sheila, Barry (Anita), Edward (Joan) and the late Jack (Sharon). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. Those who knew Bob will remember him for his great sense of humour and his giving nature. He was a very proud member of the Knights of Columbus and was an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff on 9 Main at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Friday, October 1st from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER PARISH (1100 Mary St. N., Oshawa) on Saturday, October 2nd at 10:00 A.M. Interment at Mount Lawn Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted for the Durham Regional Cancer Centre.
