It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Steven Michael Velja (Veale) on Thursday, January 28th, 2016. Survived by his mother Lorna, step-dad Doug Goodrich, his brother Scott, sister-in-law Tracey, nephew Michael and niece Kelsey Veale, nieces Danielle and Ashley Landers, great niece Ava Veale, his Aunt Cathy and family, Aunt Mary and family, Danny and Grace. Steve is also survived by life partner Louise Thibert and children Jon and fiancé Lee-Anne, Jennifer and Paul and grandchildren Isaak, Joseph and Maddie. Steven will Rest in Peace with his father Michael Veale, sister Debbie Landers (nee Veale) and grandparents Alfred (Poppa) and Edna Crawford. Funeral Service to be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, February 11th at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
