Timothy Tim Bruce McGill

After a year long courageous battle with cancer, Tim passed away with his loving family by his side at Lakeridge Health Bowanville on Sunday, May 31st, 2015, at the age of 58. Loving husband, best friend and soulmate of Kim for 45 years. Loving Dad, best friend and “my personal hero” of Mike. Predeceased by his father Bruce and by brother Peter (Sue). Survived by his devoted mother Shyrle. Tim leaves behind brother Steve (Sylvie-Chantal), Sherri (Eric) and Paul (Paulette), parents-in-law Merle and Paul, brothers-in-law Chris, Paul (Gerda), and sister-in-law Dawn (Pat). Tim will be fondly remembered by many adoring cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Tim will be forever remembered for his kind and caring nature and the way he always put others before himself . He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The McGill family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring and compassionate Palliative Team, and Cancer Team at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, especially Dr. Koneru, Dr. Osborne and Sue and Nancy of St. Elizabeth’s as well as the volunteers at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and CCAC for all the support given to the family. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, June 5th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for St. Elizabeth’s or Lakeridge Health Oshawa – Cancer Care.
