It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bill on January 30th, 2012 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of the late Elinor Kirkton (Woods). He will be sadly missed by his mother Ada and the late Lawson Kirkton. Loving father of Lisa and her husband Dale Hart, Laurie and her husband Dave Foote, Brian and his wife Carole Kirkton, and Brad and his wife Wendy Kirkton. Proud grandfather of Ashley, Krysta, Katie, Danny, Brittany, Kyle, Emily, Tyler and baby Jessica. Lovingly remembered by his brother Mike and his wife Jean and many cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bill will be remembered as an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Special thanks to all the staff at The Wynfield Long Term Care facility. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, February 1st from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, February 2nd at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
