Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday, February 17th, 2016 at 80 years of age. Beloved husband of Eugenia (nee Anastasakis). Dear son-in-law of Dimitra Anastasakis. Very loving father of the late Zacharoula Papadakis-Roach (Allan) and Dimitra Papadakis. Cherished Papou of Eugenia, Byron, Zacharias, Marika, Lillian and great grandfather of Ester. Dear brother of Kostadino, Eugenia, Vasiliki, the late Stathy, Panagiotis, Christos, Katerina and John. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and friends. A special thank you to the staff of the Continuing Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for their wonderful care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Sunday, February 21st from 6 – 8 p.m. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the ANNUNCIATION OF THE VIRGIN MARY GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH (399 Farewell Street, Oshawa) on Monday, February 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery.
