Allen "Whitey" C. Grear, 88 passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022. He was born April 27, 1933 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Ralston and Gladys (Hazlston) Grear. Allen served in the United States Airforce. For 10 years he was an Ossian Police officer and later was a school bus driver for Northern Wells Schools. He was a lifelong member of Ossian United Methodist Church. Allen enjoyed riding his moped around town and farming. He is survived by his sons, Brian (Becky) and David (Kim) Grear; grandchildren, Benjamin Grear, Bradly Grear, Shawn (Laura) Dillon, Ryan (Daniel) Dillon, Stephen (Aurora) Grear, Taylor (Taylor) Grear, and Lauren Grear; and great-grandchildren, James, Beckett, and Grant. He was also preceded in passing by his wife, Margaret Grear; daughter, Carol Dillon; sister, Dorothy Funday; and brother, Glenn Grear. A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
