Betty L. Bowman

Betty L. Bowman, 81, of rural Markle, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015. She was born on May 18, 1934 in Allen County to the late Loren D. and Mabel A. (Weaver) Boxell. She was a graduate of East Union Center High School. She worked at G.E. for 10 years; and at V.H. Electronics as a secretary and administrative assistant for 15 years before retiring in 1996. She was a lifetime member of Zanesville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed canning, walking, and working with her flowers and garden. She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Surviving family include her husband, Terry L. Bowman; son, Kent (Denise) Bowman; daughter, Julianne (Ed) Miller; grandchildren, Zachary and Hilary Bowman, Austin (Samantha), Erin, Alyssa, and Bryce Miller; sisters, Carol Diskey, and Janet (Jim) Beckstein. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Zanesville United Methodist Church, 11811 N. Wayne St., Zanesville with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 3-8 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Burial will be in Hoverstock Cemetery, Zanesville. Memorials may be made to Zanesville United Methodist Church or Visiting Nurse.
