Garland Casey K Keister

Garland K. “Casey” Keister, 87, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. He was born January 3, 1923 in Whitley County, IN to the late Silas and Vera (Bills) Keister. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty (Kleinknight) Keister in April 2009.He was a WWII Navy Veteran and retired from G.E. in 1984 as a Foreman. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and American Legion Post 241. Surviving are his sons, Robert (Patty) Keister of Sturgis, MI and Bryan (Joni) Keister of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren, Jessica (Brian) Longly of Chicago, IL, David (Amanda) Keister and Lauren Keister both of Ft. Wayne; great grandchildren, Dylan and Caleb of Ft. Wayne; half-brother, Orin Cummins of Columbia City and half-sister, Georgia Lock of Larwill. Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, IN 46777. Visitation will also be at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday, May 14, 2010. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hope United Methodist Church.
