Judith Elaine Hatfield, 71, of Ossian, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Dekalb Memorial Hospital. She was born April 5, 1939 in Portland, IN to the late Melvin James and Kathleen (Renner) Ford, Sr. Mrs. Hatfield was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Franklin T. Hatfield of Ossian; sons, Jerry Gene (Candi) Hatfield of Fort Wayne, Richard Wade Hatfield of Wabash, Steven James (Kim) Hatfield of Bluffton; brother, Melvin James Ford, Jr. of Richmond, IN; sisters, Ema Jean Bash of Danville, KY, Barbara Ames and Diana Lynn Smith, both of Portland, IN; five grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services are Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, IN at 2:00 P.M. with calling 1 hour prior. Calling is also on Saturday at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian. Memorials are to the Galilean Children’s Home.
