

Norman H. Jackson, 97, of Warren, formerly of Uniondale, passed away, Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Heritage Pointe. He was born September 15, 1914 in Huntington County to the late Alva and Dessie Mae (Coolman) Jackson. Mr. Jackson farmed for 25 years until 1958, retired from Wilbert Vault Company as a serviceman, and after retirement he worked at Markle Health Care in the maintenance department until he was 80. He was also a member of the Uniondale Volunteer Fire Department, Uniondale Lions Club, a Boy Scout Leader, and coached Wildcat Baseball. Surviving are sons, Robert D. (Ann) Jackson of Markle, Thomas A. Jackson of Urbana, IL, and David E. (Ardonna) Jackson of Bluffton; daughters, A. Ann (Bill, deceased) Sparks of Markle and Barbara J. (George) Keplinger of Warren; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Ruby I. (Stroud) Jackson in 2007 and a granddaughter. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Myers Funeral Home, 415 North Lee Street, Markle, IN with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 4 to 8 P. M. at Myers Funeral Home. Burial will be at Horeb Cemetery, Uniondale. Preferred memorials may be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care or Uniondale Volunteer Fire Department.
