On 13th December, 2011 at Perley-Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre. It is with great sadness that Amy Isabel Wallis passed away after a short illness. Beloved wife of James (Jimmy) Charles Wallis, cherished mother of James Robert (Bob) Wallis (Dianne) and Susan Isabel Wallis. Dearly loved grandmother of Angela Drouin (Alain) and Anthony Wallis (Colleen) and great-grandmother of Emilie and Laura Drouin, Ryan and Kaylyn Wallis. Her spirit will remain alive through her family and friends especially because of her example of a life well-lived. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Hamilton, the nursing staff, assistants and volunteers of the Gatineau South wing of the Perley-Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 3-5 and 7-9 at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road. Funeral Mass Friday, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment Rupert Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memoriam donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
