

Audrey Lorraine Voice, 79 of Gloucester Ontario passed away October 2nd, 2024 from heart failure. She is survived by her brother Jim Voice of Vancouver and sister and brother in law Elaine and Steve Tanton of Calgary as well as many friends in the Ottawa area.
She was born in Saskatoon and grew up in Cupar Saskatchewan before moving to Ottawa when she was 20 years old to work in Politics. She worked in the public sector in several different jobs, for the federal and provincial government. She was an enthusiastic cook, her favorite being Chinese food. She had an incredible collection of cookbooks. Everyone she met of all ages always remarked on what a kind, nice person she was. She was a big supporter of the children of her friends and helped them with their education.
She had a social conscience and often got involved in causes in support of her community and women’s rights. The family is very appreciative of the help and support that her friends provided to her in later years as her health failed.
She has left a legacy of scholarships for deserving students that will last for many years to come.
The funeral Service will be held on November 15th at 1:30 pm at McEvoy-Shields funeral home at 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa.
