Bernard Cabana

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Bernard Cabana, décédé paisiblement à sa résidence entouré de sa famille le 25 juillet 2016 à l’âge de 91 ans. Il était le fils de feu Zéphirin Cabana et de feu Berthe Grégoire. Il était l’époux de feu Colette Beaudry, et le compagnon de vie de Monique Foré. Il était le père adoré de Chantale et beau-père de Patrick Foré. Il fut prédécédé par son fils Pierre (Angèle Marion). Il était le Pépé bien aimé d’Éric (Louise Charette), Philippe (Mark Da Costa), Anne-Marie (Grayson McDiarmid) et Michel, et arrière-Pépé chéri de Jaden, Lauriane, Zara et Maëlle. Prédécédé par ses frères, il laisse également sa belle-sœur Georgette, ses beaux-frères Aurèle et Jean-Marie Beaudry, et plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis. La famille désire remercier de tout cœur Dr. Tara Tucker, le personnel de CareFor et en particulier Paul et Janine, pour leur tendresse et compassion tout au long des bons soins prodigués à la maison. Il y aura des visites le mardi 2 août 2016 de 11h à 13h à la Maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier (180 chemin Montréal, Ottawa), suivi d’une Messe commémorative en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire à 13h. Suite au service, une inhumation aura lieu au cimetière St-Paul d’Aylmer. Amis et parents sont ensuite invités à une Célébration de sa vie au Club de Golf Casselview à Casselman à 15h30. En mémoire de Bernard, des dons à l’Institut de cardiologie de l’Université d’Ottawa ou à la Société canadienne du cancer seraient grandement appréciés.

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Cabana who left peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Orleans on July 25, 2016 at the age of 91. He was the son of the late Zéphirin Cabana and the late Berthe Grégoire. He was the devoted husband of the late Colette Beaudry, and life-partner of Monique Foré. He leaves in sorrow his adoring daughter Chantale and son-in-law Patrick Foré. He was predeceased by his son Pierre (Angèle Marion). Loving Pépé of Éric (Louise Charette), Philippe (Mark Da Costa), Anne-Marie (Grayson McDiarmid) and Michel, and loving great-Pépé of Jaden, Lauriane, Zara and Maëlle. Predeceased by his brothers, he leaves behind his sister-in-law Georgette, brothers-in-law Aurèle and Jean-Marie Beaudry, and several nephews, nieces and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Tara Tucker, CareFor personnel and in particular Paul and Janine for their tenderness and compassion when caring for Bernard at his home. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa), followed by a Memorial service at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. The burial of the ashes will take place at the St-Paul Cemetery in Aylmer, following the service. A Celebration of Bernard’s life will be held at the Casselview Golf Club in Casselman at 3:30 p.m. In Memory of Bernard, donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
