Bernard Maisonneuve

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de M. Bernard Maisonneuve, survenu paisiblement le 29 janvier à Ottawa, à l’âge de 96 ans. Il est précédé par son épouse tant aimée Simone (née Taillefer) et son fils Pierre (Suzanne). Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Diane et Claude (Chantal), ses petits-enfants Scott (Julia), Éric (Janie), Mélissa, Nadia (Antoine), Cédrik (McKenzie), ainsi que ses arrière-petits-enfants, ses frères et sœurs et sa bonne amie Jeannine qui était souvent à ses côtés pour adoucir ses derniers jours.

Bernard était connu pour sa bonne humeur, bon vivant et un père aimant. Son rire et ses taquineries resteront gravées dans nos mémoires.

La famille recevra les condoléances le 25 avril 2026, à partir de 12h30 à la Maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier, 180 ch. Montréal, Ottawa, suivi d'un service commémoratif en la chapelle de la maison funéraire à 13 h 30.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Bernard Maisonneuve, who died peacefully on January 29 in Ottawa, at the age of 96. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Simone (née Taillefer) and his son Pierre (Suzanne). He leaves to mourn his children Diane and Claude (Chantal), his grandchildren Scott (Julia), Éric (Janie), Mélissa, Nadia (Antoine), and Cédrik (McKenzie), as well as his great-grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, and his dear friend Jeannine, who was often by his side to comfort him in his final days.

Bernard was known for his good humor, his zest for life, and being a loving father. His laughter and playful teasing will remain etched in our memories.

The family will receive condolences on April 25, 2026, starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, followed by a memorial service in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 p.m.
