Brent DiBartolo

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Brent passed peacefully in hospital surrounded by family and friends on November 19th 2016 at the age of 65, following a long and very courageous battle. Brent proudly dedicated his entire career to the public service and following his retirement he cherished spending time with the friends he made along the way. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf and bridge, and spending summers at the cottage but Brent’s greatest joy was being with his family. He married the love of his life and best friend, Joan (Maheral), in 1972. He also leaves behind his children Krista (Troy Gorham), Karla (Rodney Butt), and Brent (Racean Walsh) and his grandchildren Dade, Keenan, Teague, Kensington, Reagan, and Renata. Brent will also be missed by his brothers Joel (Daniela Baggio) and Kirk, and the family of John and Iphegenie Maheral as well as many neices, nephews and dear friends. Brent is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Marian (Quirk), brother Fred (Diane Boisvert) and sister Linda. Friends may pay their respects at McEvoy- Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Maurice Church, 4 Perry Street on Thursday, November 24 at 11 am. In memoriam donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
