Passed away in hospital on Monday, January 5, 2015, after a lengthy illness of heart disease. He is survived by his wife Ruth, and their sons Douglas, Randy (Linda), Tony (Wendy) and Shawn (Jill), also by his six grandchildren, Grant (Sarah), Erika (Graham), Matthew, Zachary, Jessie and Nicholas and his great grandson Greyson will all miss him. Also survived by his brother Colin and sister Shirley and many nieces and nephews. Please join us for a celebration of Carl`s life at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2 pm. The family will accept condolences after 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
