Carole Anne Cooper

(July 10, 1935 - October 1, 2016)

Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, lived a life of adventure, intellectual curiosity and love for her family and friends. She made a home filled with love, afghans and books for her family in so many amazing Canadian places. She shared her life with 2 husbands; Harry Cooper and then George Johnstone. In her last years she embraced small town life in Almonte where she loved being part of the local book club, the Hookers and Knitters Group and attending festivals and fairs. She was much loved and will be dearly missed by her children; Mary Ann Murray (Don); Jane Korosi (Mike); Jim Cooper; Gordon Cooper (Heather); Megan Cooper; grandchildren, Amy, Michael, Sara, Christopher, Jesse, Joshua. Great grandchildren, Joseph, Violet, Kira, Emma, Smith and Ivy. Friends and family may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday after 10 am Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Shepherds of Good Hope or the Almonte General Hospital. In memory of Carole please do something nice for someone and remember her smile.
