Chris was a loving husband of 43 years to his beloved wife, Debra, devoted father to Krista, and son-in-law Jordan, and extremely dedicated Grandpa to his grandchildren Dominic and Cameron.
Chris will be deeply missed by his brother, Michael (Susana), and sisters, Helen (Allan) and Marina (Adam) and many nephews, nieces, childhood friend Rick, long-time friends and his cherished service dog Chimo.
He is predeceased by his parents, George and Bertha (née Edwards) and brother Junior.
Chris was a proud Army Veteran and cherished the many friendships and memories he made while serving his country. A loyal Montreal Canadiens fan, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, family trips and music, a passion he first developed while performing on stage in High School.
Not one to shy away from a good debate, his wit and humour were always on display and his generosity and small acts of kindness were felt by many.
Chris recently faced his share of medical challenges. Challenges that he bravely faced with incredible strength, resilience, and hope. He unknowingly provided us a valuable lesson that we can learn and draw strength from at this time.
In light of current challenges, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in Chris’ memory can be made at that time.
