Although I am not able to join you to celebrate Claudette, I am remembering her and thinking of you as you go through the next couple of days.  She had a great sense of humour and a wonderful, infectious laugh.  She was so proud of all of you and made sure we knew it.

My deepest condolences on Claudette's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My main memory of Claudette is a lady with a great sense of humour especially when she and my uncle Edgar O'Brien used to have memorable comical exchanges. I was younger at the time when the Nolans and the O'Briens used to get together on many occasions, but  I still remember Claudette's warm personality.  My wife, Carole, and I want to let Eddy, her husband, and the family  know that Claudette is in our thoughts and prayers.  It was hardly surprising to read that "She touched the lives of many with her years running  Molly McGuire's and summers spent at Metcalfe Golf Course.  That gentle friendliness is the outstanding quality to be remembered about Claudette Aldea O'Brien.

My time with Claudette began where it did for so many of us. I was 19 when we met. She and Eddy gave us a home away from home. I forged relationships in that home that I still have 42 years later. It was the atmosphere and the feeling of family that they fostered for all of us there that kept us coming back.  She always made me feel welcome even after I left the city. We didn’t speak often but when we did, it always felt like time didn’t pass. I truly hope that she is hanging out with some very special people who have sadly gone before her.  People that she missed terribly. People who have welcomed her to the table, poured her a dubonet and will keep her safe and loved as they wait for us.  Eddy, Dennis, Jeff, Mike and families, I hope you can find comfort in knowing  that she is loved by so many.  To my friend, the Matriarch of Molly’s,  Thank you.  I will cherish those days and the extraordinary memories they gave me forever.  Until we meet again Claudette,  sleep with the Angels.

Eddy, Dennis, Jeff, Michael, i wanted to pass on my sincere condolences to you and your families for the loss of your wife, mom, mother -in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.  I was absolutely crushed when I heard about Claudette’s passing. As you know, we had a lot of good memories stretching back almost 50 years. Whether it was Réveillon at your place or that unforgettable vacation in Cocoa Beach,  the 3 a.m. clandestine closing of Mollies in Montreal, the many hours spent at Mollies on Rideau St. nursing a glass of Dubonnet or just trying to get me to clean the ashtrays. Claudette worked tirelessly around the clock on each Muscular Dystrophy weekend ensuring everything went off as planned. Claudette was a good friend and she will be missed. Rest in peace, Claudette.

  Words cannot truly express how sad I am that Claudette is no longer with us.  I met her back in the mid 70's and we have been good friends all that time.  I was so fortunate to have the "Frog" celebrate every one of my milestone (30, 40, 50 and 60th) birthdays and my wedding. It brings a smile to my face when I think of all the good times we had at Molly's, down in Cocoa Beach, Labour Day Ball tournament with M.D. Troopers, Molly's Ten Lil Pigs Ball team, golfing/drinking at Metcalfe Golf Course and many a night out with the Forever Friends.  I will miss her and will carry her in my heart always.  RIP my friend.

Eddy, Dennis, Jeff, Mike and O’Brien Families, we offer our Sincere Condolences on the passing of a very special Friend.  Her passing sure has left a void in our lives and we cannot imagine the pain you are going through.  I think you know how special she was to Edith and I.  We were lucky enough to meet Claudette for the first time in the mid 70’s and her love and friendship continued for nearly 50 years.  
A smile comes across our face whenever we reflect back, on the many memories we are left with.  And, there are plenty.
I had the pleasure of emailing Claudette religiously every Tuesday once Covid hit in March 2020 to check in on her, to see if her or Eddy needed anything or to arrange a Dinner date.  Her last email to me on Tuesday December 12 started, “Hi Donny, always look forward to your Tuesday news” and ended with “Well look after yourself, there appears to have a lot of Covid around.  Cheers, love you both”.  As you can tell, Claudette had a huge impact on our lives for sure and I will miss that weekly interaction like no one can imagine.
Whether you referred to her as “Frog”, “Mom” or just Claudette, were alone with her and Eddy or amongst her many Friends, you were always ensured of a great time and left with, “When are we doing this again?”
In closing and to all of The O’Brien’s, thank you for being part of OUR lives.  We, like many other Friends, have you in our thoughts.
