Colleen will be sadly missed by her dear siblings, Ann Lawn, Kathrine Plummer, Tom Lawn and Mary Haslam.
Her legacy will live on through her four beloved children Amy, Benjamin, Callam and Declan Nicholas.
Colleen is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Teresa Lawn.
Born in Ottawa, she loved to travel and later moved to New York to pursue a career in fashion. She raised four children in England with her former husband of over 20 years, John Nicholas. While living in England, Colleen spent many years working as a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant at Oakwood Primary School, Nuneaton. In recent years, she returned home to Canada to help her siblings look after their ailing parents. She had many talents: a DIY queen, baking lover, cocktail maker, who loved to surround herself with her favourite social circles.
Colleen’s ever glowing light was one that shone on so many people, all over the world. Her kindness, generosity and affectionate soul was a gift to all those whom she loved, and will be forever cherished by all those who knew and loved her too.
We will release further details on the funeral arrangements, waiting in anticipation for guidance around COVID restrictions.
For those unable to attend, we ask you to raise a glass to celebrate her amazing life and hopefully join us virtually.
