Cyrille Lavigne

February 18, 1927 to December 18, 2010

Peacefully at the Peter D. Clarke Centre, Cy Lavigne of Ottawa, was taken from us at the age of 83. Cy was a past president of the Greenboro Community Association, former Director of Appeals and Audits with Revenue Canada, and a court registrar with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Ottawa. After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease, he is finally reunited with the love of his life, Jeannine Lavigne (March 3, 2004). Cherished father to Marc Lavigne and Louise Coughlan (Richard). Treasured Grandpapa to Kristen Anderson (Craig), Tara Coughlan (Josh Campbell), Daneel Lavigne, and Ashley Coughlan. Predeceased by his brothers Charles and Maurice. He will be deeply missed by many friends and extended family members. The family wishes to offer a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Peter D. Clarke Centre in Ottawa for his wonderful care. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday at 11am at St. Thomas d’Aquin Church, 1244 Kilborn Place, Ottawa. Cremation and private burial to follow.
