Passed away peacefully on Sunday November 18, 2012 at the age of 79. Daughter of the late Edmond and Rhéa Lafontaine. Wife of first marriage of the late Lucien Charbonneau and second marriage of the late Gérald Merritt. Beloved mother of Carole Wheatley (late Raymond) and Luc Charbonneau (Martine). Cherished grandmother of Alain, Élise, Simon, Maxime and Camille. Survived by her brother Paul and her sister Louise. Predeceased by her brothers André, Philippe, Jean, and sisters Hélène, Charlotte, Pierrette and Réjeanne. She leaves behind many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp Funeral Home Chapel (180 Montreal Rd. Ottawa) on Thursday, November 22nd, 2012 at 11am. The family will receive condolences from 10:30 am at the funeral home. Donations to the Heart and Strokes Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
