It is with great sadness that the family of Dr. Amir Himaya announce his passing.
Amir will be sadly missed by his brother Nabil Himaya of Brossard, Quebec, his niece Amira Labib, his nephew Hany Labib, both of Cairo, Egypt, his nephew Eric Himaya (Marie-Eve Chouinard)of Gatineau, Quebec, his many friends and colleagues, in Canada and Egypt.
Amir devoted his life to his profession and his patients. He gave many years of service in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Riverside Hospital as an attending physician.
His family would like to thank the staff at the senior residence where Amir resided and the staff at the Ottawa General Hospital who provided compassionate care.
Funeral Mass will take place at Saint Patrick’s Basilica at 220 Kent Street, Ottawa, on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 9:30 am.
Memorial donations in memory of Dr. Amir Himaya can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Avenue West, 16th Floor, Toronto, Ontario M4R 1K8.
