Suddenly at home, on Monday, June 1, 2015 at the age of 58 years, born in Bagheria, Sicily, Italy. Predeceased by his mother Maria Di Salvo (nee Bruno) and father Leonardo Di Salvo. Survived by his sons, Justino Giovanni and Giordano and their mother Solange. Also survived by his sister Mary (Elisa), brother Fedele (Charlotte), nephews Jonathan and Nicklas. He will be missed by his many cousins, friends and co-workers. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, followed by a service in memory of Giovanni in the Chapel at 8 pm. Inurnment of ashes will take place at Capital Memorial Gardens at a later date. In memoriam donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Royal Ottawa Hospital Foundation supporting Mental Health would be appreciated.
