Born December 23, 1957, passed away quietly on July 22, 2013 in his 56th year after a brave struggle with a rare form of cancer. Greg leaves behind his best friend and partner in marriage Paul Moore (Parents, Richard and Barbara Moore of the Isle of Man), his mother and inspiration Valerie Grimes (nee Murphy), sisters Nancy (Jim Collins), Jenny (Rick Luscombe), and Wendy, brother Tim (Liz Hartt), and nieces and nephews Jessica (Graham Robinson), Amy, Ben, Oliver, Hannah, Leah, Sean, and Declan. Predeceased by his father Gerry Grimes. Greg also leaves a large extended family with numerous cousins and a great group of close friends. Greg took on life with a vengeance. He was strong minded and did everything in his own special way. He left an indelible impression on the world and he will never be forgotten. A visitation will take place from 12 noon to 6:00 pm on Friday, July 26th, 2013 at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa followed by a brief service in honour of Greg. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Cedars Cancer Institute at the Montreal General Hospital would be appreciated.
