Gregory Holly

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Veronica (née Gavin), his children Edith, Marie (Ron Dutrisac) and Janet (Rod Berek), his beloved granddaughter Melanie Lafortune, his sister Theresa Gluk (Ohio, U.S.), his brother Basil Holly, his sister-in law Edith Gavin and his brother-in-law Basil Gavin. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, in particular, Kathleen and Alison Holly.

He is predeceased by his parents Tom and Kathleen Holly, his eldest brother Bernie Holly (Margaret McCann), Nora Holly (Basil’s wife), his brother-in-law Father Joseph Gavin S.J. , his brother and sister- in- law Leon and Irene Gavin, his sister and brother-in-law Irene and Robert Fraser and brother-in-law Steve Gluk.

Greg was a member of the Knights of Columbus 485, and former Grand Knight to Council 5717 and a member of the 4th Degree Father Reynolds Knights of Columbus.

Greg’s love for his family, extended family and nature was known. He will be profoundly missed by family and friends, but we are comforted by the fact that he lived a full life right to the end.

There will be a funeral mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Alta Vista Drive, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00am. (Social distancing will be exercised.) Greg will be laid to rest in the spring at St. Patrick’s Parish, Lansdowne, Ontario, where he was married.

In Greg’s memory, in lieu of flowers, those who wish to express sympathy may consider a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada or The Jesuits of Canada.
