Hi Judy- just wanted to send my deepest condolences on the loss of your Mom.  It has been a tough few years for you and your family.  My friend Isabel Bourada wrote me yesterday after seeing the obituary and said she remembers my aunt Helen as the lady who never aged. 
I will not be able to come to Ottawa today for the funeral however my thoughts are with you, Cindy and all your kids and grandkids.  
I know there is a party going on in heaven right now and the vodka is being freely poured !!!

Sorry to hear this news. She will be missed for sure. Mother Helen or MH as we used to call her affectionately. She was a class act and I honestly can say that I never saw her not happy pretty much every time. The last time I saw her was at my Mom's 80th birthday and she looked great as always. I do remember from my childhood her hosting many of the family gatherings at Christmas and/or Easter at the house on Sherbourne. May she be in eternal peace as she rests at Uncle Danny's side.

Dear Cindy, Judy, and family: so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Aunty Helen will be missed. But luckily I will still have fond memories of your Mom from our visits to 590 Sherbourne. All those great Easter and Christmas dinners, eating perogies until we couldn't breathe, plates of turkey and ham, big bowls of mashed potatoes, everyone laughing and enjoying each other's company. And the kid things, throwing snowballs with rocks in them from the driveway, playing pool in the basement and eating sample boxes of Cap'n Crunch cereal until we were borderline diabetics, unlimited glasses of Coca-Cola, sliding across the turquoise linoleum in the kitchen in our sock feet and yes, oh yes, eating Cindy's chocolate Easter chickens.  Through it all, your Mom would look at Kenny, Jeff and I, shake her head, and say "Oh you boys!"  I'll tell you, living without a gall bladder is a small price to pay for memories like that.
