Helwe Forzley

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Helwi Forzley, a devoted mother, and an extraordinary soul who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She peacefully departed from this world on July 8, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering compassion.

Born on May 20,1944, Helwi Forzley was a constant source of inspiration to her family and friends. She approached life with a kind heart, faith and a gentle spirit, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Helwi was an exceptional mother. Her children were the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to their happiness and well-being. With unwavering love, she nurtured, protected, and guided them through life's ups and downs.

Beloved Wife and best friend to Farah Forzley. She is survived by her son Marwan his wife Alia & their children Zara & Kaiya; Her son Samer his wife Sandra & their children Alexa & Olivia; Her daughter Lubna, her husband Mitri & their children Tala, Sam and Chris.

She is also survived by the family of her late brother Antoine, his wife Norma & their children Ziad, Mazen & Najwa; Her sister Antoinette, her late husband Habib & their daughters Rola, Mirna & their families; Her late brother Elias, his children Imad & Lina; Her brother Omer & his wife Hayat.

Helwe is also survived by her Husband's family; his brother Mansour (Victor), his wife Mona & their family; The family of his late brother Nasr, his wife Souad & their family. The family of his late brother Souheil (Sid), his wife Soraya & their family and His sister Souheila.

And all the families of Forzley, Al-Zand, Torres, Badr. Moussallem, Sahbani, Abboud, Hajjar and Khoury.

A Visitation for Helwe will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 7 to 9:00 p.m. at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home & Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON K1V1A6. A Funeral Service will occur Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. at Saint Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1V 0Z3. Interment will occur after the Service at Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation in her honour.

As we say goodbye to our beloved mother, let us remember her with gratitude for the love she gave, the joy she brought, and the lasting impact she had on our lives.
