It is with great sadness that the family of Izabel announce her passing in Ottawa on Thursday June 4, 2020, at the age of 98.
Izabel was an exceptionally talented seamstress who made dresses for family and friends for generations, well into her mid 90’s.
Beloved wife of the late Cheiban Saleh.
Loving mother of May, Mona (Peter Manor), Jean (Gladys Azzi), Tony (JoAnne Francis) and Mirna (Roger Baliki).
Cherished grandmother of Sid, Hazar, Daniel, Matthew, Christian, James, John, Andrew, Mark, Laura and many great-grandchildren.
Dear sister of Father Paul Oneid (Khourieh Souad Aoun), Victoria Baliki (late Ibrahim Baliki), of Ottawa; Robert Oneid (Therese Meouchi), Therese Tedi (Tanous Tedi), of Lebanon.
She will be dearly missed by her extended family and many loving nieces, nephews and friends in Canada, USA, Australia and Lebanon.
Due to the current circumstances related to COVID-19, a private funeral service will be held on Monday June 8, 2020 and will be limited to the immediate family.
In memory of Izabel, donations to St Charbel Maronite Church, Ottawa or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
