Jacques Vachon

Passed away peacefully on August 20, 2015 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander Vachon and Eva Duford and his first wife Jacqueline (nee Murphy). Loving husband of Audrey Vachon. Adored father of Micheline Morrison (Kyl) and Pierre (Karen), stepfather to Kim Wasney (David), Jennifer Rattray (Mark) and Cindy Harriman (Brett). Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Sydney, Parker, Tilly, Sydney Ruth, Hudson, Dylan, Quintin, Connor and Hunter. He leaves in sorrow his sisters Francoise Maisonneuve and Lucille Vachon, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his loyal dog Buddy. Jacques was predeceased by eleven siblings. Since retired from the Ottawa Hydro as an Electrical Mechanic, Jacques enjoyed even more spending time at the cottage with his family. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at the Montfort Hospital for their extraordinary care. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 9 a.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home Chapel (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa). The family will receive condolences from 8:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Montfort Hospital Foundation and the Ottawa Humane Society.
