Jean Malham

Mom passed peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the age of 84. She now rests in peace with her beloved parents Joseph and Mary Smiley, dear brothers Nick, Harry, Sam, John and William, sister Gloria, devoted sons Peter and Nick and son-in-law Jim. Beloved mother of Marika Ermel (Lorne) of Airdrie, Alberta and Mary Jean Gallagher. Loving Sitty to Christine (Jason), John (Holly), Shaun, Lisa (Greg), Michael, Stephen, Nicole, Graeme, Bradley, Michelle, Brodie, Cara and James. Sitto Jean to Rema, Rula and many close friends. Loving sister-in-law to Marguerite and Edith Smiley, and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Monday, January 2. Funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3 in St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral. Interment Beechwood Cemetery. Special thanks to Home Care worker Barbara Hill for her devotion and loving support over the past few years. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff in Respirology at the General Hospital for taking excellent care of Mom.
