It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanne Marier (Lafontaine) née Lemire, on Thursday, November 6 at the long term care Champlain Centre in Ottawa at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her loving husbands, Ephrem Lafontaine in 1950 and Marcel Marier in 1978; her son Pierre in 1968; five brothers and two sisters. She leaves in mourning her son Jean-Paul (Ginette); her adored granddaughters Nathalie (Bruce Perley) and Josée (Adam Russell); her great- grandchildren Noah, Tyson, Preston and her loving sister Noella of Val d'Or; as well as several nephews, nieces and friends. Family will receive condolences at Racine Robert & Gauthier funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa on Saturday November 15, 2014 from 8:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Donations in Jeanne's memory to the Canadian Cancer Association would be appreciated by the family.
