Peacefully in hospital, on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Loving son of the late Martin Burke and Alexina Horan. Beloved brother of Mary (late Ambrose Birt) and predeceased by Agnes, infant sister Phyllis and infant brother William. Dear uncle of Audrey (Bruce Ferguson) and Joan Birt (Colin Scully). Predeceased by his long-time companion Audrey McNulty. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11 am at St. Elisabeth`s Church, 47 St. Elisabeth Road, Cantley, Quebec. Interment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
