Liette Barkley

Liette, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Joseph LaRose, beloved wife of the late Lorne F. Barkley, pre-deceased by her son Lorne H. (Lynne). Loving mother of Clifford (Doris), Joseph (Phyllis) and Paula (Walter Oppici). Cherished grandmother of Véronique, Brok, Michelle (Ken Hearn), David (Brynne), Steven (Sophie Bernier-Gagnon), Sarah Oppici (Ali Dassylva), Melissa Oppici and Ryan. Great-grandmother of Nolan, Bennett and Louis. Pre-deceased by her brothers, Jean-Charles, Gilles (Cécile), and her sisters, Cosette, Adrienne (Bill Daley), Marie-Paule (John Veit), Claire (Anthony Seaby) and Pierrette (Albert Larose).

Liette lived a full life. Her love for her family was always uppermost in her thoughts and deeds. She was the cornerstone of our family, a beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a wonderful wife. Words cannot express how much we will miss her.

Resting at Racine, Robert and Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Vanier, on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023. Visitation from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 174 Wilbrod Street on Wednesday, March 1st at 10:00 a.m. followed by a light lunch at the church. Interment will be at Beechwood Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. In memoriam donations to Autism Ontario would be appreciated.
