We have many great memories of Marc over the years,that great LAUGH when he really enjoyed something, his different bowling gestures, good times on the golf course and of course his words of encouragement "GO GIRL". We were lucky to get to know him and enjoyed all the times spent together.  He will be dearly missed by us all. Keeping you, and the family in our thoughts. Love the DALY'S

This letter was read ath the mass by Josée for Louise.
Marc was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was a “special” uncle to many but especially to Suzanne and great uncle to Monika, Selyna, Antonyo, Exavier and Eva. He was always there for all of us. He was there for every baptismal, birthday, football games, Christmas Eve mass when my grandchildren were in the pageant. His parents would also attend Christmas Eve pageant with us. He will always have a special place in their hearts forever.
He did not know Exavier that much because he is only 3 years old. I took him to see his Great Uncle Marc at home about a month ago. He walked into the room, went up to the bed and took Marc's hand, layed his head on Marc's shoulder and gave him the biggest and most gentle hug. You could tell that Exavier knew to be gentle with him. You have to keep in mind that Marc would call him “Exavier the terror” but not on that day.
I had a special relationship with Marc. He was my brother-in-law but he was so much more to me. We were born the same year and we had this joke between us. His birthday was in March and mine in December so for those 9 months I would call him “Monsieur Marc” until my birthday in December, then I would call him just Marc.
He had an infectious laugh that was so loud and coming right from the belly! The kids would laugh just hearing him laugh even though they didn't really get the joke. The more he laughed, the more the kids would laugh.
At Christmas, all the single ladies would get in line to get a kiss, a hug and a smell with Diane's permission of course.
We always said that Marc was the best thing that happened to my sister Diane and he would say that Diane was the best thing that happened to him. He bought Diane the most beautiful cards over the years and would take his time choosing just the right one. They loved each other so very much and it's hard to comprehend them not being together forever.
When he started golfing Diane had a rule. He could golf either on Saturday or on Sunday but most of the time, she would let him golf both days because she knew how he loved the game. That is how she got the nickname “golfing widow” which is so appropriate now because he is probably golfing every day up there!
Marc and I would have this connection and we would always play jokes on Diane in a playful way. He would always say that she wouldn't get the joke until we explained it to her in full details, he would laugh and make the gesture with his arms that it was over her head!
I was honoured when they asked me to be their Matron of Honour at their wedding. He was so handsome and she was so beautiful that day. You could see and feel the love that they had for each other. That special love was there till the end.
This letter would not be complete if I did not mention the courage and devotion that Diane had taking care of Marc up till the end. She was his strength that kept him going and that's why he lasted as long as he did.
There is a saying that goes like this: “Only the good die young” and that saying fits him to a TEE! Marc was my brother-in-law but he was also my friend. I will miss him so much and will never forget him. Rest in peace “Mon amour” and I will see you when I see you.

Dear Uncle Marc, I will always remember all the great memories of visiting you and Aunt Diane as kids with Renee. You were an amazing Uncle and person! And you were a very funny person. I also will never forget visiting you with Nico in Ottawa and also when you visited here and we were all blowing bubbles with Nico. Diane, I love you too and wish more than anything I could be in Ottawa right now. Uncle Marc - we will miss you very very much. Xo.

We would like to take a few moments to offer our sincere condolences and share a few golf memories with you.  Our golf seasons will never be the same without "le grand" but the courses we played on represent life with all the trees (especially the ones Marc hit on), the water ponds (especially the non floating Titleist Pro V that Marc lost).  Even though he will no longer be with us, his presence will be felt through nature on the beautiful courses that Marc loved to pay on, as we heard him murmur to himself when it did not go quite as he planned.  Those are memories that we will always cherish.  Manon, Claude, Albert & Big.

À Pierre, Susan, Stéphanie... et très particulièrement à toi Diane et tes fils, nous voulons vous dire notre affection en ces moments difficiles. Il faut laisser du temps pour que les bons souvenirs reviennent et apaisent les souffrances.   Recevez nos très sincères condoléances et l'expression de notre sympathie la plus profonde.

Mes sincères sympathie a toi Diane et toute la famille, j'ai appris le décès de Marc dans le journal et j'en croyais pas mes yeux quand j'ai vue le portrait de Marc,  en ce moment triste de ta vie mes pensées vont être avec  toi Diane car des moments comme ceux la ne sont pas facile a passer, je te laisse mon numéro de téléphone si jamais tu as besoin d'une amie pour parler ,j'aurais bien aimer pouvoir assister au funéraires mais comme je viens de subir une opération a coeur ouvert il y a environ 6 semaines je ne pourrai probablement pas assister mais je vais penser a toi en ce moment triste et tu me donneras de tes nouvelles de temps en temps ,une amie de voyage Jocelyne et Émile t'offre aussi ses sympathies mais si j'ai une chance d'aller au funéraires vendredi je ferai tout mon possible pour y aller ,bonne chance et bon courage Diane

Mes sympathies a toi Diane et toute la famille. Que dire du beau grand Marc, un ami sur qui j'ai pu compté dans des moments difficiles, un bon vivant qui aimait la vie, n'avait pas peur du ridicule et qui a su profiter de la vie. Repose en paix mon grand et ce qui me console dans ma tristesse est que je suis certaine que ton chum Claude te tendra la main pour te guider de la haut. On ne vous oubliera jamais.

Mon cher Oncle Grand Marc, je ne t'oublirai jamais. Tu as toujours été là pour moi, Mom et mes enfants. Tu n'était pas toujours d'accord avec mes décisions mais tu me donnais toujours des bons conseilles et tu m'as jamais juger pour les décisions que j'ai faites. Your quirky loud laugh. Your cool/spontaneous Travolta & Jagger moves on the dance floor. :)
And the way you bit your tongue when most of us had a strong opinion... you knew better, I guess. 
Your quiet and contemplating side. Your great appetite for life... and good food too. :)  
Your love of music. Your sense of humor. And how you welcomed us when we moved to Calgary in the late '70's. 
When we hear this song, it reminds us of you Marc. Only you could turn a couple of words around and 
make us laugh when this one came on. :)
