Marthe laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Jean-Claude (Élaine), Louise (Dave), Paul (Debbie), Normand (Sylvie) et Philipe (Dianna). Elle laisse aussi ses petits-enfants Sylvie (Chad), Chantal (Anthony), Carl (Yolanda), Stéphanie (Nicholas), Arron, Jeremie, Chad, Martine (Mark), Alexandre, Melissa (Jeff), Adam (Brittany), Natacha, Eric et Curtis; ses arrière-petits-enfants Mila, Alessio, Elora, Annalise, Mariela, Olivier, Ève, Mélodie, Owen, Calixa et Jacob; ainsi que ses neveux, ses nièces, sa grande amie Rhéa Leroux et de nombreux autres amis.

Née à Hull, Québec, le 28 mars 1925, Marthe a consacré sa vie à sa famille et sa carrière d'enseignante. Son sourire, sa bienveillance et sa force tranquille ont marqué tous ceux qui ont eu le privilège de la connaître.

La famille tient à remercier sincèrement Sonia pour le soutien et la douceur qu’elle a apporté à Marthe.

La famille recevra les condoléances à l'église Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, au 435, chemin Montréal, à Ottawa, le jeudi 10 septembre 2026, de 9 h 30 à 10 h 30. Les funérailles seront célébrées à 10 h 30, suivies d'une célébration commémorative.

Elle demeurera à jamais dans nos cœurs.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Marthe Legault, who passed away in Ottawa on August 8, 2026, at the age of 101, beloved wife of the late Mr. Jean-Baptiste Legault.

She was also predeceased by her children Nicole, Pierre and Denis, as well as by her parents, Tharis and Anna Vaillant Proulx, and her parents-in-law, Delphis and Marie-Louise Dagenais Legault.

Marthe leaves to mourn her children Jean-Claude (Élaine), Louise (Dave), Paul (Debbie), Normand (Sylvie), and Philipe (Dianna). She also leaves behind her grandchildren Sylvie (Chad), Chantal (Anthony), Carl (Yolanda), Stéphanie (Nicholas), Arron, Jeremie, Chad, Martine (Mark), Alexandre, Melissa (Jeff), Adam (Brittany), Natacha, Eric and Curtis; her great-grandchildren Mila, Alessio, Elora, Annalise, Mariela, Olivier, Ève, Mélodie, Owen, Calixa and Jacob; as well as her nephews, nieces, her close friend Rhéa Leroux and many other friends.

Born in Hull, Quebec, on March 28, 1925, Marthe devoted her life to her family and to her career as a teacher. Her smile, kindness, and quiet strength touched all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family would like to sincerely thank Sonia for the support and gentle care she provided to Marthe.

The family will receive condolences at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church, 435 Montreal Road, Ottawa, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The funeral service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial gathering.

She will remain forever in our hearts.
