Michael Kingsbury

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Kingsbury at the age of 54. Born in Ottawa, he was the son of Dominic Kingsbury and Charlotte Kingsbury (née Jobin). He was the loving husband of Josée Lalonde and the caring stepfather of Sean Leroux (Kaylee).

Along with his parents, his wife and his stepson, he leaves in mourning his sister Judy Monast (Serge), his nephews Jacob (Harley) and Luc (Jocelyne), his niece Nadia (Zack), his great-nephew Byron, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family wishes to thank the medical team at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, the Ontario Health Palliative Care Network, as well as the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre for their excellent support and care.

In Memory of Michael, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

A graveside service will be held for close family and friends at Notre-Dame Cemetery on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:30 a.m.

C’est avec énorme tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Michael Kingsbury, survenu à l’âge de 54 ans. Originaire d’Ottawa, il était le fils de Dominic Kingsbury et de Charlotte Kingsbury (née Jobin). Il était l’époux bien aimé de Josée Lalonde et le beau-père bienveillant de Sean Leroux (Kaylee).

Outre ses parents, son épouse et son beau-fils, il laisse dans le deuil sa sœur Judy Monast (Serge), ses neveux Jacob (Harley) et Luc (Jocelyne), sa nièce Nadia (Zack), son petit-neveu Byron ainsi que plusieurs oncles, tantes, et cousins.

La famille tient à remercier l’équipe des soins palliatifs de l’Hôpital Queensway Carleton, le programme Santé Ontario, ainsi que le Centre de Cancérologie Irving Greenberg pour leurs bons soins prodigués.

Vos vœux de sympathies peuvent se traduire par un don à la Société Canadienne du Cancer.

Un service à la fosse aura lieu au cimetière Notre-Dame le vendredi 19 septembre 2025 à 11h30, dans l’intimité de la famille et des amis proches.
