Michel Léger

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on June 17, 2015, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Harris) for 65 years. Adored father of Michel, Ann (Ron Charter), Marie (Gilles Boisvert), Catherine (Timothy Mahoney), and Grégoire. Cherished grandfather to Charmaine, Philippe, Mathew, David, François, Christine, Theresa and Hannah. Loved greatgrandfather of nine. Dear brother of Bernard (Thérèse) and Guy(Gabrielle), as well as many nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends. Predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. The family would like to thank the staff at the Résidence St-Louis for the excellent care provided to Michel. Family and friends may pay their respects on June 24, 2015, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa). A Funeral Service will be held on June 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Notre Dame- de-Lourdes Church, 435 Montreal Road, Vanier. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.

est décédé paisiblement entouré de sa famille à l’Hôpital Montfort, le 17 juin 2015, à l’âge de 87 ans. Il était l’époux bien-aimé d’Elizabeth (Harris), marié pour 65 ans. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Michel, Ann (Ron Charter), Marie (Gilles Boisvert), Catherine (Tim Mahoney) et Grégoire; ses petits-enfants : Charmaine, Philippe, Mathew, David, François, Christine, Theresa et Hannah; ses neuf arrière petits- enfants; ses frères : Bernard (Thérèse) et Guy (Gabrielle). Il laisse également plusieurs neveux, nièces, beaux-frères, belles-soeurs et amis. Il est prédécédé par quatre frères et quatre soeurs. La famille invite parents et amis à la MAISON FUNÉRAIRE RACINE, ROBERT & GAUTHIER 180 ch. Montréal, Ottawa le 24 juin 2015 de 14h à 16h et de 18h à 20h. Les funérailles seront célébrées en l’église Notre-Dame-de- Lourdes située au 435, chemin Montréal, Ottawa, le 25 juin 2015 à 10h30. Au lieu de fleurs, des dons à la Société Alzheimer du Canada ou la Société canadienne du cancer seraient appréciés. La famille aimerait remercier le personnel infirmier et médical de la Résidence St-Louis pour leurs excellent soins prodigués.
