Milan Kovacevic

It is with sadness that we announce the passing, of Milan Kovacevic on Monday, October 1, 2012, at the age of 92 years. Milan was predeceased by his wife, Mitzie, and his brother and sister, Krste and Sava. He will be missed by his siblings Maria and Duro, and Duro's family in Canada: Draginja, Michael (and Ceri, Ryan and Alyssa), Michelle (and Roger), Mira (and Roland), Vanessa, Danielle (and Justin). He is also survived by many family members in Srbija and Germany. He arrived in Canada in 1952 and lived in Thunder Bay before moving to London, Ontario where he and his wife owned and operated the New London Motel for many years. A longstanding member of the Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in London, he was widely known for his warm sense of humour, a passion for growing tomatoes and affection for his cat, Suzy. Special thanks from the family to Roger, for his compassionate assistance in our time of need, and to the staff at Hunt Club Manor in Ottawa for the thoughtful care they provided to Milan "Mike" in his final years. Milan joins his beloved Mitzie in peace. In memoriam donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
