Patrick Barr

Né le 4 décembre 1939 à Belfast en Irlande-du-Nord, Patrick était le fils de feu Joseph et Sarah (O’Brien) Barr.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Hélène (née Clément), son fils Mathieu (Sarah Turner), sa fille Sarah (Alison Camely), ses petits-enfants : Théo et Kiera. Il était le frère de feu Sean (feu Kathleen), feu Kathleen (feu Jimmy), feu Danny, feu Josie, feu Sheila (Don), feu Brendan (Collette), feu Kevin (Rita), feu Marie (feu Joe), feu Gerry (Frances), Margaret (Hugh) et Deirdre (Dan). Il laisse également ses beaux-frères : Henri (Noi Korngowit), Clément et Jérome (Gisèle) Clément, plusieurs neveux, nièces.

Il a immigré au Canada en 1961, pour s’établir à Ottawa où il a travaillé pendant 35 ans à la Banque du Canada.

Impliqué toute sa vie dans le bénévolat, il aimait par dessus tout passer du temps avec sa famille et ses ami(e)s.

Une célébration de la vie aura lieu le vendredi 25 février 2022, à 12h en l’église St. Joseph’s, 174, rue Wilbrod (prière de vous inscrire par courriel [email protected] ou par le 613-233-4095, poste 251). Au lieu de fleurs, vos marques de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à St. Joe's Women's Centre ou à St. Joe's Supper Table.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick “Paddy” Barr on February 2, 2022.

Born December 4, 1939 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Patrick was the son of the late Joseph and Sarah (O`Brien) Barr. Loving husband of Hélène (Clément) and devoted father to Mathieu (Sarah Turner) and Sarah (Alison Camely) and grand-papa to Théo and Kiera. He is also survived by his sisters Margaret (Hugh McFerran) and Deirdre (Dan Kushner), brother-in-law of Henri (Noi Korngowit) Clément and Jérôme (Gisèle) Clément, he also leaves many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Sean (late Kathleen), Kathleen (late Jimmy), Danny, Josie, Sheila (Don), Brendan (Collette), Kevin (Rita), Marie (late Joe), and Gerry (Frances).

He immigrated to Canada in 1961, and settled in Ottawa where he worked at the Bank of Canada for 35 years.

He volunteered throughout his life and loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends.

He will be missed and remembered dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 25th at 12:00PM at St. Joseph’s Church, 174 Wilbrod St. (please pre-register via [email protected] or 613-233-4095, ext. 251). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joe`s Women`s Centre or to St. Joe`s Supper Table.
