In addition to my family connection to the Marshalls and Malloys- I had the pleasure of working for Paul as a summer student with the NCC back in the summer of 1986...that's only 25 years ago...doesn't make me feel old at all!  It was a pleasure working for Paul - he was a true professional and a kind and learned boss...

I am sorry to hear of his sudden passing- and am sorry I was unable to attend any of the services in person.

I grew up down the street from Paul Marshall,  he and I shared something very personal that was the love of his mother Kay. You see Kay Marshall was my God Mother and often, particularly on christmas day or my birthday I would venture up the street to the Marshalls where I would be welcomed  by "the boys" who were all older than I and treated me like one of their own. During these visits I would usulally end up with a soar stomach from laughing so hard from the humour and commentary of Paul and his brothers. It was an incredible expereinece growing up  down the street from the Marshall family it  was like having an extra living room in your house and by extension  Paul was one of the family. Paul was extra smart and sublimely funny. I know he had a profound love for his daughter Emma and of course his mother. While Paul sometimes was difficult to read those who he let inside knew what a kind soul he was, now he will rest and be in peace, take care Paul.

To Emma and all the Marshalls - - - - We are so saddened by your loss. We have enjoyed the Marshall family for so many years and, hopefully, will continue to. But without Paul to add his own personality, style, and "Marshall brand" of humor to the mix, the reunions and family celebrations just won't be the same. Emma and Family,
There are no words that can ease the pain right now, we are all numb! Paul was a longtime true and loyal friend to Shane and me, as well as a very loyal employee. Our company will not be the same without Paul, all his collegues will miss his work ethic and also his sense of humour. He always loved to talk about you Emma, he loved to tell us all about you, what you were up to and what fun you had together on your nights out. You were the 'apple of his eye' Emma, he cherished every moment with you and loved you so very much. Eventually the memories of your father will bring happiness to you. We will miss Paul, more than words can say.
