He was pre-deceased by his parents Louis Laferriere and Doris O’Brien, and his brothers Steven and Murray. He is lovingly remembered by his sister Ann Marie (Seamus Hanley), brothers Louis and Craig (Cynthia Carr), sister Margo (Mike Charchuk), nephews and nieces Brian (Julie), Stephen (Deborah), Colin (Louise), Ronan (Abby), Daniel (Diana), Rhianna (Matthew), Connor (Alexandra), Joseph (Susannah), Lilian (Jay), and grand-nephews and grand-nieces Aidan and Elliot; Ryan, Abby and Finn; Evan, Owen and Lea; Kieran; Judah.
His family are most thankful for the outstanding and compassionate care he received from Dr. Kravcik, Dr. Daoud, Dr. Malouf and the home-care nurses from Bayshore HealthCare and Nurse On Board.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home (1411 Hunt Club, Ottawa, ON). A memorial service will follow in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Plan International Canada; Pierre had regularly sponsored children overseas through this organization.
